Wolfson Group Expands U.S. Weight Management Reach as GLP-1 Use Climbs

As more Americans incorporate prescription GLP-1 medications into their weight management routines, Scotland-based consumer wellness company Wolfson Group is expanding access to its non-prescription offerings in the United States. According to a June 2026 report from PwC, 21% of U.S. households included a current GLP-1 user as of May 2026, up from 9% in January 2025. That rapid adoption is reshaping the weight management marketplace, but Wolfson Group emphasizes that nutrition, physical activity, and non-prescription wellness products remain central to how many consumers approach their health.

Wolfson Group participates in the non-prescription category through PhenQ, its established consumer wellness brand. PhenQ is available to U.S. consumers through Amazon and, more recently, OneLavi.com, giving American consumers another online destination to discover and purchase the product. The expansion reflects the company's broader U.S. strategy of developing multiple distribution channels while supporting its portfolio of wellness brands.

"The weight management market is evolving, and consumers have more choices than ever before," said the founder and CEO of Wolfson Group. "Prescription medications have become an important part of the conversation, but nutrition, physical activity and everyday lifestyle habits remain central to how people think about managing their weight. Our focus is on serving consumers in the non-prescription wellness market."

The company stresses that PhenQ is a non-prescription weight management product and that it should not be viewed as a substitute for prescribed medical treatments. As the weight management landscape grows more complex, Wolfson Group sees opportunities for greater consumer education about the different categories of products and services available, their intended purposes, and the importance of informed decisions.

Wolfson Group's portfolio extends beyond weight management to include cognitive wellness, gut health, and men's wellbeing, with brands such as PhenQ, TestoPrime, NooCube, and YourBiology. The company continues to pursue additional U.S. retail opportunities following its participation in the September ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and said it will keep investing in consumer education, science-led brand development, and expanded U.S. distribution.

For Texas businesses and consumers, the announcement signals a widening weight management marketplace in which prescription drugs and non-prescription wellness products coexist. Retailers and distributors across the state may find new opportunities as brands like PhenQ seek broader shelf space and online visibility, while consumers gain more choices and, with them, a greater need for clear information about how different products fit into a healthy lifestyle.
