Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Storagely, the website platform built for self-storage operators, announced Storagely 3.0.1, a full rebuild of its platform and the largest release in the company’s history. The announcement, made on August 26, 2026, comes as operators in Texas and across the country face increasing pressure to differentiate their facilities and streamline operations. Storagely will publicly debut 3.0.1 at the SSA Fall Conference & Trade Show, September 8–11 at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, at Booth #1233.
The self-storage industry has evolved since Storagely entered it, with operators encountering new constraints and asking new questions. Rather than adding another round of features, Storagely chose a complete architectural rebuild. According to Austin Simmons, who was named Chief Executive Officer in April 2026, operators have consistently voiced three demands: “They want to be more hands-on, not stuck behind a support ticket. They want to launch a new location in days, not weeks. And they want each facility to be able to stand out in its own market.” Simmons added that the company “stopped just adding features and decided it’s time to rebuild around those pain points.”
The rebuild introduces several changes aimed at giving operators more control. FLEX, the platform’s drag-and-drop editor, allows operators to edit any block, swap layouts, and publish new pages in minutes without a developer. ATLAS, the new Location Profile Manager, consolidates every location’s details—address, hours, pricing, photos, unit types, amenities, and more—into a single source of truth that automatically updates the website. The new ATLAS Google Profile sync means a simple edit to a Google Business profile can update location details directly on the website. Together, these tools provide a faster path than submitting a support ticket and enable customization that gives each facility its own identity.
Launch velocity is another major focus. New sites now launch in weeks rather than months, and new locations come online in days rather than weeks. New features move just as quickly, allowing operators to stay agile and make quick decisions. Performance has also been improved: Storagely rebuilt 3.0.1 from the ground up exclusively for self-storage, with modern architecture, faster load times on mobile and desktop, better page speed scores, and infrastructure that scales from a single store to hundreds of locations. The platform also includes a newly imagined one-page checkout with upgrades such as a long-awaited merch shop and other upsell options.
Simmons, previously Chief Operating Officer, led the rebuild in close partnership with Founder and Executive Chairman Brian Leimone, whose technical vision continues to drive the platform. Simmons has worked with Storagely across nearly a decade and several iterations of the business. “For years I’ve watched Austin grow from someone I believed in, into the leader Storagely needs today,” said Leimone. “3.0.1 begins a new era for the company, and he’s the right person to lead it.”
For Texas, where self-storage has expanded rapidly alongside population growth in both urban and rural areas, the implications are significant. Operators can now manage multiple locations more efficiently, respond to market changes faster, and create distinct brand identities for each facility. This level of control and speed could help Texas operators compete more effectively, especially in crowded metro markets like Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin. The ability to launch new locations in days rather than weeks also aligns with the state’s fast-paced development cycles.
