Kami Alaniz, a Registered Nurse with more than 33 years of experience, has completed the build-out of Just Brooke, LLC, transforming what began as a ministry into a multi-platform organization that includes publishing, production, coaching, and media. The Corpus Christi-based enterprise now operates Helping People Like Me Ministry — A Just Brooke Kingdom Initiative, the faith-centered mission behind the company, and Just Brooke Productions, its publishing and production brand.
For Texas businesses and the healthcare industry, the expansion signals a growing market for services that address the non-clinical challenges of healthcare decision-making, caregiver burnout, and personal reinvention. Alaniz’s books are now being published and sold on Amazon, with additional titles in development. Her expanded website, www.JustBrooke.net, consolidates her books, coaching, courses, classes, ministry, and media into a single platform.
Central to the Just Brooke approach is Alaniz’s R3B Empowerment Method™: Remove Blocks, Reset, Rediscover Yourself, and Build Your Dream Life. The method reflects her own experience of working as a traveling nurse while building the company. “I understand what it is like to work, take care of everyone else, keep going when you are exhausted, experience hurt and disappointment, and still know somewhere inside that God has more for your life,” Alaniz says.
Alaniz’s newest media venture, APPROVED or DENIED: Decoding Medicare, Medicaid, & Beyond — For Professionals, Patients & Providers, airs weekly on Thursdays at 7:00 a.m. Central. The podcast draws on her 33-plus years in nursing to explore the financial, emotional, and logistical dimensions of healthcare decisions. “Healthcare is not one-dimensional, and neither are people,” Alaniz says. The “& Beyond” in the title is intentional: conversations may start with Medicare or Medicaid but often extend to caregiver exhaustion, family concerns, faith, and life transitions.
Just Brooke Productions has also launched Across the Table with Kami, a short-form video series covering healthcare, books, faith, and other issues Alaniz encounters through her work. The company’s growth is opening another direction: speaking engagements. Alaniz addresses healthcare professionals, patients, and families on subjects such as Medicare and navigating difficult healthcare decisions, while also speaking with churches, conferences, and community organizations about burnout, forgiveness, faith, purpose, and moving forward after difficult seasons.
“I especially want to reach the person who is exhausted, overwhelmed, hurting, or wondering whether it is too late to change their life,” Alaniz says. “I want people to know they are loved and forgiven and encourage them in their walk with God.”
Beyond the podcast and speaking, Alaniz offers coaching and educational programs designed to give individuals practical tools to continue personal growth after an initial conversation. For Texas employers and healthcare organizations, these resources represent a potential supplement to traditional employee wellness and patient-support programs, particularly as workforce burnout remains a concern.
Alaniz expects continued growth across Just Brooke Productions, publishing, podcasting, and speaking, but she remains closely tied to the mission that started it all: reaching people who have spent years caring for others and may now find themselves exhausted, hurting, or unsure about their next chapter.
“When I look back at where I was when I started and compare it with where we are today, it is pretty incredible,” Alaniz says. “Back then, I was telling you what I hoped Just Brooke could become. Today, I can show you.”
