Arizona Law Firm Supports ALS Community Through Fundraising and Estate Planning Initiatives

Scottsdale law firm Brown & Hobkirk, PLLC is expanding its commitment to the ALS community in Arizona, driven by the personal loss of a friend to the disease. Founding attorney and partner Kyle Brown, along with his wife Cheree, recently attended ALS Arizona's Bite Nite gala at Chateau Luxe in Phoenix, an event that brings together chefs, supporters, and volunteers to raise funds and awareness for those affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease, currently affects more than 34,000 adults in the United States, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. ALS Arizona, a nonprofit organization, provides care services, education, resource connections, equipment support, and community programs for individuals and families facing the disease. Events like Bite Nite are crucial for funding these services.

Brown's involvement extends beyond attendance. He is helping organize The Alpine Classic Golf Tournament scheduled for December 13, 2026, at Eagle Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale, with proceeds going to ALS Arizona. This initiative has led to a formal collaboration between Brown & Hobkirk and the organization, with attorneys at the firm offering estate-planning document preparation for families affected by ALS. In May, Brown was invited to speak on estate planning as part of ALS Arizona's "ALS 101" educational series for newly diagnosed individuals and their families.

"Lawyers have a responsibility to support the communities they serve, and organizations like ALS Arizona give us a direct way to make a difference," Brown said. His 25 years of experience in personal injury, wrongful death, and estate planning provide a strong foundation for this work.

Brown & Hobkirk, PLLC, a full-service law firm serving clients in Scottsdale, Phoenix, and throughout Arizona, focuses on practical guidance and personalized service. The firm's involvement with ALS Arizona demonstrates how businesses can leverage their expertise to address critical community needs. By combining fundraising efforts with pro bono legal services, Brown & Hobkirk is helping alleviate some of the burdens faced by ALS patients and their families, allowing them to focus on courage and strength in the face of the disease.

The impact of this partnership is twofold: it raises essential funds for ALS Arizona's programs, and it provides tangible legal support that can ease the planning process for families during a challenging time. As more professionals and businesses engage in such initiatives, the ripple effect can strengthen community resilience and awareness of ALS.
