US Nuclear Corp Reports 72% Reduction in Operating Loss, Sets Stage for Record 2027

US Nuclear Corp (OTC: UCLE) has filed its Form 10-Q for the first quarter of 2026, reporting a 72% reduction in loss from operations compared to the same period in 2025. The company reduced its operating loss by over $375,000, according to the filing, which is available through the US Nuclear Form 10Q_March 31, 2026. The improvement comes as US Nuclear works to resolve delays in its financial reporting that stemmed from the closure of its Los Angeles operation and the transition to a new auditor.

Michael Hastings, CFO of US Nuclear, explained that the company lost key personnel after closing the LA operation, which complicated the retrieval of financial data. "We also chose to replace some people at Overhoff, but things are finally falling into place," Hastings said. The 2025 audit took longer than expected, causing subsequent quarterly filings to miss deadlines. The first-quarter close and review process took about four months, far exceeding the 45-day window. The company expects to file its second-quarter report in the next three to four weeks and projects resuming trading after the third-quarter release, around the first week of December.

Despite the reporting challenges, US Nuclear has taken steps that management believes will make 2027 a record year. In June, the company engaged a skilled General Manager and COO who is streamlining logistics, clearing backlogs, and accelerating product and service delivery. The company's backlog has grown to $1.2 million and is expected to reach $2.9 million by year-end. Additionally, US Nuclear is interviewing outsourced CPA firms to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, with onboarding scheduled to occur imminently.

The company is also working to revitalize its TA/Optron product line, which had been built in Los Angeles. The GM is utilizing four college interns to conduct a full marketing and product analysis, aiming to re-launch the products in January 2027 with the hope of adding $600,000 in revenues that year. Furthermore, US Nuclear has started discussions with other companies regarding potential joint ventures, a sale of the company, or a reverse merger. Management expects 2027 sales and profits to increase 20-30%, with sales doubling the current level in 2028, or significantly higher if a transaction is completed in 2027. For Texas, these developments matter because US Nuclear's products and services support the nuclear energy and medical industries, sectors that are vital to the state's economy. A turnaround at the company could lead to increased demand for suppliers and partners in Texas, as well as job creation in high-tech manufacturing and services. The company's efforts to streamline operations and explore strategic alternatives could also attract investment to the region.
