Perpetuals.com Gains EU-Wide Crypto License Under MiCA, Expanding Regulated Services

Perpetuals.com Ltd. (NASDAQ: PDC) has announced that its subsidiary, Perpetual Markets MTF, has been granted authorization by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) to provide crypto-asset services under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). This approval allows the company to operate a crypto-asset trading platform offering custody and administration, order execution, order reception and transmission, and crypto-asset transfer services across all EU member states.

The authorization builds on Perpetuals' existing MiFID II-regulated multilateral trading facility (MTF), positioning the company to leverage the MiCA cross-border notification framework. This framework enables a single license to be recognized across the entire European Union, simplifying regulatory compliance for companies like Perpetuals. As a result, the company can now offer its services to brokers and institutions seeking white-label access to regulated European crypto services through its infrastructure.

This development is significant for the financial technology sector, as it demonstrates a path to compliant crypto-asset trading within the EU. For businesses and investors, this means increased access to a regulated environment that adheres to strict standards, potentially reducing risks associated with unregulated crypto markets. The move aligns with the EU's broader effort to create a harmonized legal framework for digital assets, which is expected to boost institutional participation and market confidence.

Perpetuals.com is a fintech company that develops AI-powered trading products and prediction markets, with operations in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Its proprietary platform, Kronos X, integrates advanced AI and data analysis, trained on billions of trades to monitor market activity in real time and identify patterns for trading and risk decisions. The platform offers multi-asset coverage with self-clearing blockchain-based settlement. The company’s licensed European MTF infrastructure and Kronos X platform operate with full compliance to MiFID II, MiCA, DORA, and EMIR regulations.

The approval is a strategic milestone for Perpetuals, as it enables the company to expand its footprint in the European crypto market, which is becoming increasingly regulated. By offering compliant services, Perpetuals aims to attract institutional clients who require regulatory certainty and robust risk management tools. This move could also influence other crypto firms to seek similar authorizations, further integrating digital assets into the traditional financial system.

For the broader industry, this news highlights the growing importance of regulatory compliance in the crypto space. As more jurisdictions adopt frameworks like MiCA, the market is likely to see a shift toward more legitimate and sustainable business models, benefiting both consumers and the financial ecosystem. The expansion also underscores Texas's role as a hub for innovative financial technology companies, even as this particular development takes place in Europe.
