OLB Completes Management Board Appointments, Positioning Bank for Next Phase of Development

Oldenburgische Landesbank AG (OLB) has completed the previously announced reconstitution of its Management Board, effective 1 October 2026. The Supervisory Board, meeting in Oldenburg and in coordination with supervisory authorities, appointed Michael Fust as Chief Financial Officer, Annett Daldrup as Chief Risk Officer, and Chris Eggert as Chief Investment Officer. The appointments, first announced earlier, are now official and mark a significant leadership transition for the German bank.

Michael Fust succeeds Dr Rainer Polster, who left the bank upon the expiry of his mandate on 30 September 2026. Fust had served as General Representative of OLB since January 2026, reporting to Polster. He brings extensive financial experience, having spent around 16 years with KPMG before joining TARGO Deutschland GmbH as Head of Finance in July 2016. Annett Daldrup, previously a General Representative of OLB since July 2026, steps into the Chief Risk Officer role. She also served as a General Representative of TARGO Deutschland GmbH since March 2026 and joined TARGOBANK as Chief Credit Officer Corporate Lending in January 2025, overseeing credit risk management in corporate banking. Her prior roles include positions at Airbus Bank GmbH and UniCredit Bank AG. Chris Eggert, formerly Chief Risk Officer, becomes Chief Investment Officer and will lead cash flow-based financing activities within the Corporates & Diversified Lending segment, covering corporates, acquisition finance, football finance, fund finance, export finance, and financing solutions. Eggert, who had headed Credit Risk Management since 2018 and was appointed Chief Risk Officer in June 2022, is expected to continue driving the expansion of this business segment.

The new Management Board now comprises Christophe Jehan as Chief Executive Officer, Annett Daldrup as Chief Risk Officer, Chris Eggert as Chief Investment Officer, Michael Fust as Chief Financial Officer, and Dr Andreas Houben as Chief Sales Officer. Christian Bessenroth, a General Representative since April 2026, completes the Management Team and is responsible for asset-based financing activities within the Corporates & Diversified Lending segment, including commercial real estate, international diversified lending, shipping, and renewables. He reports to Chris Eggert. Bessenroth joined OLB in October 2021 as Head of Corporate Real Estate & International Diversified Lending and previously worked for BAWAG Group.

“With its proven leadership and complementary areas of expertise, OLB’s Management Team is ideally positioned to lead the Bank into its next phase of development,” said Isabelle Chevelard, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of OLB. The appointments come as OLB continues to strengthen its position as a significant financial institution. With total assets exceeding EUR 30 billion, the bank became subject to direct supervision by the European Central Bank at the beginning of 2025. Since January 2026, OLB has been owned by TARGO Deutschland GmbH, part of the cooperative Credit Mutuel Alliance Federale, one of Europe’s largest and financially strongest banking groups. The bank serves about one million customers through its OLB and Bankhaus Neelmeyer brands, operating 80 branches nationwide and employing around 1,700 people.

The leadership changes are poised to impact OLB’s strategic direction, particularly in corporate lending and risk management. With a seasoned team in place, the bank aims to capitalize on its strengthened capital base and European backing to expand its footprint in Germany’s financial sector.
