Dallas-based Stonegate Capital Partners has issued an updated equity research report on Cassiar Gold Corp. (TSXV: GLDC), reaffirming its coverage as the company advances its flagship Taurus project toward a maiden economic evaluation. The report, released on October 1, 2026, outlines Cassiar's dual strategy of technical de-risking at Taurus while simultaneously pursuing district-scale exploration across its broader Cassiar Gold Property in northern British Columbia.
Cassiar has engaged Ausenco to complete a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for Taurus, which is expected in the second half of 2026. The PEA is viewed as the most important near-term milestone, as it will provide the first meaningful framework for evaluating potential processing methods, mine scale, capital requirements, operating costs, and overall project economics. The study builds on the current mineral resource estimate of 410,000 ounces of gold in the Indicated category and 1.93 million ounces in the Inferred category, both near-surface. Stonegate notes that these developments improve visibility into the path toward project definition while preserving the core investment thesis around Taurus's 2.34 million-ounce resource and broader exploration upside.
In addition to the PEA, Cassiar has launched a fully funded 10,000-meter 2026 drill program. As of September 17, approximately 7,400 meters across 31 holes have been completed at Cassiar North. This drilling is designed to expand resources and test higher-grade opportunities across Cassiar South and regional targets. Importantly, the current mineral resource estimate excludes the 7,308 meters drilled during 2025 and the ongoing 2026 campaign, meaning pending assay results and future resource updates could serve as significant catalysts for the company.
The company's balance sheet and project framework have also strengthened through several strategic moves. Warrant exercises and a C$5.53 million financing completed in May have bolstered the treasury, while an exploration permit extension through March 2031 provides long-term operational certainty. Additionally, Cassiar entered into an Exploration Agreement with the Dease River First Nation, reflecting a commitment to collaborative and respectful resource development. Stonegate believes these steps support the current exploration and PEA programs, though future development capital requirements remain an important longer-term consideration.
For Texas investors and businesses, the update underscores the role of Dallas-based financial advisory firms in supporting the resource sector. Stonegate Capital Partners, a leading capital markets advisory firm, provides investor relations, equity research, and institutional outreach services. Its affiliate, Stonegate Capital Markets (member FINRA), offers a full spectrum of investment banking services. The firm's continued coverage of Cassiar Gold not only highlights a promising mining venture but also reinforces Texas's position as a hub for financial services that facilitate growth in global industries.
