FG Brands Opens First Dual-Concept Beauty Studio in Birmingham, Offering New Franchise Model

FG Brands, the franchise platform behind Bare&Sol™ and facial collective®, has opened the beauty and wellness franchise industry's first dual-concept studio in Birmingham's Mountain Brook community. The studio, located in Cahaba Village Plaza, has served the Birmingham area since 2013, initially as LA Bikini. Following FG Brands' acquisition and a 2026 national rebrand, the location now operates as Bare&Sol™. As part of the transition, the studio relocated within the same center and underwent a complete remodel, adding facial collective® as a co-located sister brand, creating the first studio of its kind in the franchise industry.

The dual-concept model unites facial care, hair removal, and airbrush tanning under one roof, offering a convenient solution for clients. The studio already serves more than 1,000 members across both brands, with a significant portion holding memberships in both. This integration capitalizes on the complementary nature of these services and the recurring revenue from membership-based business models, which are key to strong unit-level economics.

Jan Zalud, CEO of FG Brands, emphasized the strategic advantage of this approach. "Birmingham shows exactly what we set out to build with this dual-concept model," he said. "This studio has been part of its community since 2013, and rather than start from scratch, we were able to reinvest in a proven location, remodel it, and bring facial collective alongside Bare&Sol under one roof. What makes this work is that each brand stays independent - facial collective focused on face care and aesthetics, Bare&Sol focused on hair removal and airbrush tanning. Neither one dilutes its expertise or identity by bolting on services outside its lane, which is a trap a lot of brands fall into as they try to grow. Guests get the convenience of both under one roof, and franchisees get two focused, proven businesses instead of one that's spread thin. We're excited to offer this same opportunity to franchisees across the country."

For prospective franchisees, the Birmingham location serves as a working proof of concept. It demonstrates how two recurring-revenue membership brands can share one lease, one team, and one base of foot traffic, potentially enhancing profitability and operational efficiency. This dual-concept model is now being offered to franchisees nationwide, providing a new blueprint for business ownership in the beauty and wellness sector.

Bare&Sol™, formerly LA Bikini, is the only franchise opportunity offering expert hair removal and airbrush spray tanning services, creating two distinct revenue streams. facial collective® is a modern, open-concept facial studio providing professional skincare and facial treatments with a personalized touch. Both brands are part of FG Brands, a self-care and wellness franchise platform designed to empower entrepreneurs and make people feel confident in their own skin.

The opening of this dual-concept studio marks a significant development in the franchise industry, potentially influencing how beauty and wellness services are bundled and delivered. By combining two complementary brands, FG Brands aims to maximize customer convenience and franchisee profitability, setting a new standard for multi-concept operations.
