Exhibit G Law Firm has announced that Rebeca Rodriguez, Esq., has joined the firm as an attorney, strengthening its labor and employment practice. Rodriguez, who previously clerked at the firm during law school, returns with a focus on workplace accessibility, compliance, and employment law. Her background in human resources and her prior experience at the firm position her to address the operational and legal challenges that employers face. The hire underscores the firm's commitment to providing practical, business-minded counsel to companies across South Florida.
Rodriguez is not new to Exhibit G Law Firm. During her legal studies, she supported attorneys with pre-suit work, including drafting charges before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, preparing demand letters and deposition questions, and managing client communications. She also interned with the City of Miami's Office of the City Attorney in its Labor and Employment Division, where she observed trials, arbitrations, and quasi-judicial hearings. That experience gave her a public-sector perspective that complements the firm's private-sector work.
"Rebeca has been part of this practice through a period of substantial growth, and she arrives in this role with an understanding of our matters that ordinarily takes a new attorney considerable time to develop," said Giselle Gutierrez, Esq., founding attorney of Exhibit G Law Firm. "Her human resources training is equally valuable. A great many employment disputes originate in decisions made long before counsel is retained, and an attorney who understands how those decisions are actually made inside an organization is better positioned to address them."
Rodriguez holds an MBA and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from Florida State University, as well as a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. That combination informs her approach to employment matters, particularly on the employer side, where questions of wage and hour practice, accommodation, and policy administration are as much operational as legal.
"My background in human resources shapes how I read a file," said Rebeca Rodriguez, Esq. "Compliance problems are rarely the product of bad intent. More often they reflect a policy that was never updated or a practice that drifted from what the handbook describes. Identifying those issues early is substantially less costly for an employer than litigating them later."
Rodriguez's arrival comes as businesses in Texas and beyond face increasing regulatory complexity in employment law. Her dual expertise in HR and law allows her to help employers proactively audit policies and avoid costly disputes. For Texas companies, the implications are significant: having counsel who understands both the legal and operational sides of employment can reduce risk and improve compliance. Exhibit G Law Firm's expansion of its team reflects a growing demand for attorneys who can bridge these worlds.
As a first-generation law student and now attorney, Rodriguez has been actively involved in the legal community. She served as President of the Disability Law Students Association and as a member of the Honor Council at the University of Miami School of Law. She also participated in the Cuban American Bar Association, Miami Law Women, and the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Florida Bar. In 2025, she received the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Florida Bar's Law Student Scholarship and the Miami-Dade FAWL Foundation's Sookie Williams Memorial Scholarship.
She continues her involvement in the legal community through her membership in the Cuban American Bar Association, Miami-Dade Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and the Florida Bar's Labor and Employment Law, Business Law, Trial Lawyers, and Young Lawyers sections. Her practice will cover a range of practice areas, including counseling on employment law, drafting employment agreements, and negotiating separation agreements. Her addition signals the firm's continued growth and its dedication to serving both businesses and employees in an evolving legal landscape.
