electrovac AG, a German specialist in hermetic glass-to-metal packages that protect safety- and system-critical electronics, held its first Annual General Meeting as a listed company and used the virtual gathering to report that its growth initiatives are progressing on all four fronts, according to the release distributed via NEWMEDIAWIRE.
The company reported that first-half revenue for fiscal year 2026/2027, covering 1 April to 30 September 2026, rose 10.4% to EUR 61.5 million from EUR 55.7 million a year earlier. EBIT increased 26.1% to EUR 8.2 million from EUR 6.5 million, lifting the EBIT margin to 13.3% from 11.7%, even with EUR 2.3 million in one-off IPO costs included. Growth was driven primarily by the Industrials and Aerospace & Defense business areas.
For Texas businesses in aerospace, defense and advanced manufacturing, the announcement matters because electrovac is expanding capacity and establishing a direct US presence aimed at those very sectors. The company said it will begin preparations in November 2026 to build its own US footprint, specifically to gain access to the American aerospace and defense market. In Germany, electrovac has initiated EN 9100 certification and Nadcap accreditation processes, credentials that govern aerospace supply chains and signal the type of qualified supplier activity that supports high-value manufacturing clusters.
The four growth initiatives include Thailand, where the goal is to double production capacity; floor space has already been doubled, the lease is signed, infrastructure expansion is nearly complete, and machinery for a third production line has been ordered or is being built, with production slated to start in September 2027. In China, electrovac is setting up local final assembly for airbag igniters under a "local for local" principle; China accounted for roughly 28% of group revenue in fiscal year 2025/2026, and a site decision in the Changzhou area near Shanghai is expected by the end of December 2026. In Aerospace & Defense, the company expanded capacity in Austria and Germany, introduced a two-shift system in Austria and recruited additional staff.
The Executive Board reaffirmed its recently raised earnings forecast for fiscal year 2026/2027, expecting EBIT of EUR 13 million to EUR 14 million and EBIT adjusted for IPO costs of EUR 15 million to EUR 16 million, against an unchanged revenue forecast of EUR 120 million to EUR 130 million. "Six months after the IPO, we are delivering on what we announced: we have made good progress with our growth initiatives," said CEO Dieter Thumfart, adding that adjusted EBIT is expected to exceed the level of the company's record year.
Shareholders representing 83.6% of the share capital approved all resolutions proposed by the Executive Board and Supervisory Board, including the election of BDO AG Wirtschaftsprufungsgesellschaft as auditor for fiscal year 2026/2027. The full voting results are posted on the company's annual general meeting page, and additional company information is available through the release published on www.newmediawire.com.
