PLIEZHAUSEN, Germany - DATAGROUP SE (ISIN DE000A41YEV7) has updated its financial forecast for the fiscal year 2025/2026, which runs from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026. The company now anticipates revenue in the range of EUR 565-575 million, essentially flat compared to the prior year's EUR 566 million. This adjustment reflects a continued subdued market environment, as previously communicated.
The earnings outlook has been revised downward, with EBITDA expected to fall to EUR 71-74 million from EUR 84.1 million in the prior year, and EBIT projected to be between EUR 33-36 million, down from EUR 47.3 million. DATAGROUP had originally expected slight year-over-year increases in both metrics. According to the company, the deviation from the previous forecast is primarily due to one-time effects totaling EUR 10-11 million related to strategic measures. These measures are investments in future-oriented fields and are intended to drive growth despite the flat revenue trend.
DATAGROUP is one of Germany's leading IT service providers, with approximately 4,000 employees across Germany and, since June 2026, in the Netherlands. The company designs, implements, and operates IT infrastructures and business applications for medium and large enterprises as well as public authorities. Its CORBOX product is a full-service offering that supports global IT workplaces. DATAGROUP's growth strategy includes both organic expansion and acquisitions, with a focus on integrating new companies effectively. The company actively participates in the industry's consolidation through its “buy and turn around” and “buy and build” strategies.
The revised forecast highlights the challenges facing the IT services sector, as clients remain cautious in their spending. However, DATAGROUP's strategic investments signal a commitment to positioning itself for future opportunities. By investing in areas that are expected to generate growth, the company aims to emerge stronger from the current market conditions. These actions may have broader implications for the German IT services industry, as other players may need to adapt to similar market pressures. For stakeholders, the revised guidance provides a more realistic picture of the company's near-term financial performance while underscoring the long-term vision behind its strategic decisions.
