ClimateDoor Acquires Standard Demand Partners, Expanding Into the United States

ClimateDoor, a growth partner for energy, agriculture and critical resource companies, has acquired New York capital advisory firm Standard Demand Partners in its first acquisition, marking its expansion into the United States. The combined firm has supported more than 150 companies and facilitated over $600 million in capital.

The acquisition is ClimateDoor's largest expansion to date, transitioning it from a Vancouver-based commercialization practice into a global firm operating across six continents. With regional teams in Singapore, Europe, Brazil, and Kenya, ClimateDoor also leads European market entry initiatives and First Nations co-development through its sister organization, Unify Partners.

The rationale behind the deal is rooted in ClimateDoor's founding thesis: companies in these sectors often struggle not with technology, but with commercialization and capital. ClimateDoor focuses on the early stage, embedding inside companies to build commercial evidence that makes them fundable, while raising grants and venture-stage investment. Standard Demand Partners brings the later stage: project finance and institutional capital. Together, they offer an end-to-end solution.

"A founder who arrives at ClimateDoor at the seed stage can now stay with one partner through a later raise and into project finance, without rebuilding capital relationships at every stage," said Chad Rickaby, CEO of ClimateDoor. "That continuity is the point. Wherever a company is based, the capital it needs is rarely in the same place, and our job is to close that distance."

Standard Demand Partners, co-founded by Conor Wilmot and Liam Howe, has supported more than 50 companies and holds relationships with over 750 institutional investors. The fit was not just about the pipeline but the approach. "Conor and Liam built a serious capital practice in a remarkably short time, and they built it the way we would have. Inside the business, doing the commercial work, not sitting above it," said Nick Findler, Co-founder of ClimateDoor. "Bringing that quality of capital access to our clients around the world was not an opportunity we were going to pass up."

Wilmot and Howe join ClimateDoor's partner team. Standard Demand Partners is retiring as a brand, and the firms will operate as one company. Their first public appearance will be at New York Climate Week in September, where ClimateDoor will host an evening event for founders and investors.

The combined firm offers a single partner across the full capital path, from early pilots to project finance, and combines commercial and capital work under one roof. Clients gain access to over 750 investor relationships across project finance and growth equity, supporting companies in North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. The merged entity has offices in Vancouver and New York, dedicated teams in Singapore, Europe, Brazil, and Kenya, and proprietary AI technology to support clients' capital, grants, and sales growth.

This acquisition is significant for Texas and the broader energy and agriculture sectors, as it brings a global capital and commercialization partner to the region. For companies in Texas, this means access to a comprehensive support system that can help them navigate the complexities of scaling from pilot to project finance, without the need to rebuild investor relationships at each stage. The combined firm's expertise in project finance and institutional capital, coupled with ClimateDoor's commercial development capabilities, positions it as a key player in driving economic growth and innovation in the state's critical resource industries.
