Texas-based blockchain financial infrastructure leader tZERO Group, Inc. has announced a correspondent clearing relationship with Archax Markets LLC, the newly approved U.S. digital broker-dealer subsidiary of Archax Group Ltd. This partnership is set to provide the regulated backbone for Archax Markets' planned U.S. offering of traditional and digital securities, including tokenized real-world assets.
Archax recently received approval from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) for its New Member Application, completing its registration as a U.S. broker-dealer with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The company expects to commence U.S. operations during the third quarter of 2026.
Through the arrangement with tZERO Securities, LLC and tZERO Digital Asset Securities, LLC, Archax Markets will operate as an introducing broker, gaining access to regulated U.S. capabilities including correspondent clearing, custody of digital asset securities, escrow services, and secondary trading via the tZERO Securities alternative trading system (ATS). This collaboration enables Archax to combine its global digital asset platform and distribution strengths with tZERO's established U.S. market infrastructure.
Alan Konevsky, Chief Executive Officer of tZERO, highlighted the significance of the move: "Archax's U.S. approval is an important step in expanding institutional access to tokenized assets, and tZERO provides the regulated infrastructure needed to help translate that opportunity into an operational offering. This relationship demonstrates our Infrastructure-as-a-Service model in action: enabling financial institutions to enter digital asset securities markets through established custody, clearing and trading capabilities rather than having to build the full stack themselves."
Beyond its introducing broker role, Archax Markets' registration permits it to offer private placements of traditional and digital securities to U.S. institutional and accredited investors. It also includes the ability to chaperone certain private placement offerings by non-U.S. broker-dealers to qualifying U.S. institutional investors in accordance with SEC Rule 15a-6.
This agreement adds Archax Markets to a growing group of financial institutions utilizing tZERO's regulated infrastructure to bring tokenized securities to U.S. investors. tZERO's integrated capabilities support the full lifecycle of digital asset securities, connecting regulated custody and clearing with access to secondary liquidity through the tZERO Securities ATS.
For the Texas business community, this development underscores the state's growing role as a hub for financial technology innovation. tZERO, with its roots in the region, exemplifies how local companies are driving the adoption of blockchain-based solutions in capital markets. The partnership is expected to have significant implications for the industry, potentially increasing institutional participation in tokenized assets and paving the way for more efficient and accessible securities trading.
Investors and market participants should note that digital asset securities carry unique risks, including potential lack of liquidity and susceptibility to fraud or theft. tZERO's regulated framework aims to mitigate some of these concerns by ensuring compliance with U.S. securities laws and providing established custody and clearing mechanisms.
As Archax Markets prepares to launch its U.S. operations, the collaboration with tZERO represents a strategic move to leverage proven infrastructure rather than developing it in-house. This model could serve as a blueprint for other international firms seeking to enter the U.S. digital securities market, fostering broader adoption and integration of blockchain technology into mainstream finance.
