Total Wireless and Western Union Debut 'Mexico Transferred' in Los Angeles, Deepening Texas Ties Through Small Business and Community Programs

Total Wireless and Western Union are bringing the sights and sounds of Guadalajara to Los Angeles with “Mexico Transferred,” an immersive experience opening September 25 at 2204 E. Cesar E. Chavez Ave in Boyle Heights. The installation, created for Hispanic Heritage Month, recreates familiar moments of Mexican life through audio, visual and sensory storytelling. Members of the Total Wireless team traveled to Guadalajara to record the sounds, imagery and everyday details featured throughout the installation, from street vendors to music drifting from faraway celebrations. The experience celebrates families who maintain connections across borders and the traditions that make home feel close.

The announcement matters beyond Los Angeles. It marks the next chapter in a growing partnership between Total Wireless and Western Union that began with an industry-first benefit: one Western Union money transfer, on us, on select Total Wireless plans. That benefit has expanded to include financial services such as money transfers, bill pay and money order services available at Total Wireless stores. Services are available now in select stores and will expand to additional Total Wireless locations across the country through the end of 2026.

For Texas, the implications are direct.
