SecureTech Innovations Inc. (OTCQB: SCTH) has completed a series of agreements with QSTAK Holding LLC that give its Piranha Blockchain subsidiary its first operating business, the company announced. The deal grants SecureTech a perpetual, exclusive, worldwide license to the QSTAK and QSTAKCHAIN technologies, including the blockchain, public block explorer, QSTAK Wallet for iOS and Android, and a browser extension, according to a report from NEWMEDIAWIRE.
The license also covers future improvements QSTAK develops, including post-quantum security features and the QSTAK exchange, both of which are in advanced stages of development. SecureTech acquired a net 15% ownership interest in QSTAK for $4.5 million, paid in newly issued shares of Series A Preferred Stock rather than cash, a structure the company said strengthens its balance sheet and aligns it closely with the team behind the technology.
Both companies have also formed QSTAK Market, a Wyoming limited liability company that is 57% owned by Piranha Blockchain, 38% by QSTAK, and 5% by Craft Capital Management, LLC. SecureTech controls QSTAK Market and expects to consolidate its operating results. QSTAK Market intends to build on the QSTAKCHAIN platform to tokenize real-world assets. SecureTech expects to generate initial revenue in the current fiscal quarter.
“Today marks a defining moment for SecureTech and the day Piranha Blockchain becomes an operating business,” said J. Scott Sitra, SecureTech’s President and CEO. “With a perpetual, exclusive license to the QSTAK and QSTAKCHAIN technologies, we’re not starting from a blank slate. We’re starting with a live blockchain network, block explorer, and wallet, and a team already advancing post-quantum security. That head start puts us well ahead of building from scratch.”
The announcement comes as tokenization of real-world assets on public blockchains has surged. In January, real-world assets on public blockchains stood at around $14 billion, and that increased 66% to about $23 billion by mid-March, led by the Treasury and money-market funds tokenizing gold and equities. For Texas businesses and investors, the deal signals a growing convergence of blockchain infrastructure, post-quantum security, and real-world asset markets—areas that could attract capital and talent to the state’s technology sector.
Financial firm The Vanderbilt Report noted that the deals not only give SecureTech another business line but were built to protect common shareholders. “In eighteen months, SecureTech has gone from a deficit balance sheet to an operating company with $12.6 million of trailing revenue, its first profitable year on audited results, and a Q2 margin that shows what its installed base can earn,” the report stated. “With the QSTAK license it has added a second business, live blockchain technology with a post-quantum roadmap, on terms that put most of the price behind performance and leave the common share count untouched.” The firm also warned of risks, including liquidity concerns, losses, and the fact that QSTAK Market does not yet have revenue.
SecureTech’s ability to commercialize post-quantum blockchain infrastructure could have implications beyond its own balance sheet. As tokenization markets expand, demand for secure, scalable platforms may rise, and the company’s exclusive license positions it as an early mover.
