NVIRIQ Launches Rubicon HVAC Platform to Cut Commercial Energy Costs by Up to 40%

Scottsdale-based startup NVIRIQ Inc. has officially launched the Rubicon commercial HVAC platform, a line of hyper-efficient rooftop units (RTUs) designed to replace traditional commercial air conditioning systems. The Rubicon units, available in 6-ton and 10-ton configurations, are assembled in the USA and serve as direct replacements for standard RTUs, requiring no redesign or major installation changes.

At the core of the Rubicon platform is a patented thermal collector that works in tandem with a variable-speed inverter heat pump. This combination delivers average energy savings of 30 to 40% compared to conventional RTUs, with peak performance reaching up to 31 IEER on the 10-ton model and a heating coefficient of performance (COP) of 6. Each system includes a live cloud dashboard that provides real-time data on energy usage, system health, and maintenance needs, allowing building owners to address issues before they escalate into costly emergencies.

Devin Cooley, President and Co-Founder of NVIRIQ, emphasized the importance of innovation in the HVAC industry. "Commercial building owners have been stuck with the same outdated HVAC playbook for decades," Cooley said. "When a rooftop unit dies in the middle of a summer heatwave, the answer shouldn't be 'call your contractor and replace it with the same thing.' Rubicon was built to break that cycle. It's a system that pays for itself, tells you when it needs attention, and qualifies for serious federal incentives."

The Rubicon platform boasts several key features. The NTX-32 thermal collector integrates directly with the RTU, providing 1 to 4 hours of daily thermal storage and up to 72,000 BTUs of supplemental capacity per collector, without the need for batteries. The live cloud dashboard offers predictive diagnostics, remote monitoring, and proactive maintenance alerts, ensuring systems are fixed before failure. Additionally, Rubicon qualifies for a 40% federal tax credit under current clean energy incentive programs, and NVIRIQ offers zero-down-payment financing to eliminate upfront capital costs. Each unit is backed by a comprehensive 5-year parts and labor warranty.

NVIRIQ has already initiated pilot installations in Sacramento, California, and Phoenix, Arizona. These real-world deployments will serve as proof points as the company expands its national footprint. The Rubicon platform is specifically designed for commercial office, retail, industrial, quick-service restaurant, convenience store, and mixed-use properties, particularly those with triple-net leases or owner-occupied arrangements.

The launch of the Rubicon platform represents a significant advancement in commercial HVAC technology, offering substantial energy savings, smart analytics, and financial incentives. For building owners and facility managers, this innovation could translate directly into reduced operating costs and improved system reliability, making it a noteworthy development in the Texas and broader U.S. commercial real estate market.
