Newport Beach Startup ODORUN Launches World's First Toilet Odor Extractor on Kickstarter

ODORUN, a hardware product company based in Newport Beach, California, announced today that it will launch its debut product, the ANS-01RM, on Kickstarter on July 14, 2026. The cordless, rechargeable device mounts to a standard toilet and extracts odor at the source before it reaches the room, which the company describes as the world's first toilet odor extractor. According to ODORUN, this innovation addresses a persistent problem that has followed the toilet for centuries, offering a solution that can be installed in about an hour and eliminates bathroom odors permanently.

Current methods for managing bathroom odors, such as ceiling fans, sprays, and filters, are ineffective because they either dilute, mask, or recirculate the air rather than removing the odor. ODORUN's ANS-01RM captures odor at the bowl and vents it outside before it enters the room. As the company states, 'Fans spread it. Sprays mask it. Filters recycle it. ODORUN removes it.' The device operates without chemicals, relying on a touchless wave sensor for on/off control and an auto shut-off feature after 90 seconds.
