Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch Grand Opening Brings Contemporary Boutique to Texas Hill Country

After a year of planning and construction, Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch will celebrate its grand opening at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in the Lemon Creek Ranch development. The locally owned, veteran-owned women's contemporary boutique aims to serve the Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne communities with a curated selection of national designer brands and an elevated shopping experience.

Owner Kelli Hull, a veteran, identified a need for contemporary clothing options closer to home. "I kept hearing from other women that they had the same frustrations I did," Hull said. "On Thursday, that changes." The store addresses the common complaint that shoppers previously had to drive 45 minutes into San Antonio for similar offerings.

The grand opening begins with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and confetti pop at 9:30 a.m., followed by doors opening to the public at 10 a.m. The first 100 purchases will receive a special gift. Throughout the weekend (Thursday through Saturday), guests can enjoy champagne, light bites, and giveaways from local partners including Heights Wellness, Golden Salon, Rooted Strength Fitness, and Glossy Nail Bar.

The approximately 1,200-square-foot boutique stocks a mix of contemporary designers. Hull selected items during buying trips to New York City showrooms. Highlights include Paige denim, described as a "cult classic," and FRAME, alongside dresses from Milly, Shoshanna, and Marie Oliver. Younger shoppers have shown enthusiasm for Aviator Nation, a Malibu, California-based sweat-and-swimwear label. The opening timing coincides with the back-to-school season.

Looking ahead, Hull plans to introduce new brands in January 2027, including Tecovas, Hunter Bell, AGL, and New Braunfels-based label Sunshine Tienda. "If you want to wear a basic top, a pair of denim and sneakers during the day, but then you have an event in the evening and you need to put on a cocktail dress, we're your one-stop shop to do all of that," Hull said.

Trunk shows are scheduled for the grand opening weekend, offering exclusive access to expanded collections.

The boutique emphasizes customer service and experience. "People are a little bit frustrated with a lack of customer service, not only in retail but in industries at large," Hull said. "We want every single person who comes in to feel a very elevated, experiential shopping experience." Services include personal styling, private after-hours events, and Sunday appointments. Hull made a promise: "It is my solemn vow that I'll never let anyone leave Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch in something that doesn't look phenomenal on them."

As a veteran-owned business, Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch is among few in the franchise with that designation. "Supporting the military community is something you'll continue to see us do for years to come," Hull said.

The Lemon Creek Ranch location was chosen for its accessibility and growth potential. The development offers direct access off I-10 and parking right in front. "You can drive right up to the store, park and walk in," Hull said. "Lemon Creek Ranch is great where it's at now, but it's only going to continue to get better."
