Meeder Investment Management has appointed Peeyush Shukla, CFA®, FRM, as its Chief Data, AI and Technology Officer, a newly created leadership position that underscores the firm’s strategic focus on technology, data, and artificial intelligence. The appointment, announced on October 13, 2026, marks the first time a technology expert will serve on Meeder’s Leadership Team, reflecting the growing importance of digital infrastructure in investment management.

“Technology and data are increasingly important to how we operate, serve our clients and position Meeder for the future,” said Bob Meeder, President and Chief Executive Officer. “The addition of Peeyush to our Leadership Team represents an important investment in the future of our firm. He brings a rare combination of investment management experience, technology leadership and an understanding of how data and AI can create meaningful business value. We are excited to have him leading these efforts across Meeder.”

In his new role, Shukla will lead Meeder’s data and technology strategy, including the continued development of enterprise platforms and artificial intelligence initiatives. His responsibilities bring together technology modernization, data capabilities, and emerging technologies to support the firm’s long-term strategic objectives.

Shukla brings more than two decades of experience leading enterprise transformation across investment management and financial services. Prior to joining Meeder, he served as Head of Data, AI, and Technology at Heitman, where he modernized its global technology architecture, streamlined investment operating platforms, and established enterprise data management, analytics, and AI capabilities. Previously, as Managing Director of Multi-Asset Technology, Data and Analytics at Nuveen, he led technology and data initiatives to streamline and optimize investment platforms, and helped establish enterprise data science and AI capabilities.

“Meeder has a strong foundation, an entrepreneurial culture and a clear commitment to investing in its future,” said Shukla. “There is tremendous opportunity to bring together data, AI and technology in ways that make our teams more effective, strengthen our capabilities and ultimately enhance how we serve our clients. I am excited to work across the organization to build on Meeder’s momentum and help shape the next generation of our technology and data capabilities.”

Shukla holds an MBA with distinction, with majors in Finance and Strategy, from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a master’s degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and Certified Financial Risk Manager. His professional involvement also includes serving as Vice Chairman of CFA® Society Chicago.

Meeder Investment Management has been helping clients achieve their financial goals for more than 50 years. Serving public entities, institutions, financial advisors, and individual investors, Meeder offers a wide range of investment solutions, including mutual funds, model portfolios, cash management, and personalized advisory services. With more than 150 associates and over $190 billion in assets under advisement, Meeder is committed to improving investor outcomes through disciplined investing, education, and long-term partnership.

This appointment signals a broader trend in the financial services industry, where data and AI are becoming central to investment decision-making and client service. For Texas businesses and investors, Meeder’s investment in technology leadership could lead to more innovative products and enhanced service capabilities, potentially setting a benchmark for other firms in the region. As AI continues to reshape the investment landscape, Meeder’s move to elevate technology expertise to its top leadership ranks may position the firm to better navigate an evolving market and deliver improved outcomes for clients.
