Huawei reinforced its commitment to Europe's digital and green transition at the 11th Huawei Connect Europe, held in Florence, Italy, on October 16, 2026. The event, reported by Media OutReach Newswire, drew thousands of attendees, including industry leaders, technology experts, and partners from around the globe. Under the theme "Advancing Intelligent & Green Europe," discussions centered on how artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital technologies can accelerate what is often called Europe's twin transition—the simultaneous push toward digitalization and sustainability.
The event featured remarks from Italian Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, President of the Tuscany Region Eugenio Giani, and Mayor of Florence Sara Funaro, underscoring the importance of public-private collaboration in driving technological innovation. In his opening keynote, David Wang, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Rotating Chairman at Huawei, emphasized the company's long-term presence in the region: "As Europe's digital and green transitions continue to progress, Huawei is working with over 5,000 partners to solve real customer challenges through technological innovation. The intelligent world is coming, faster than ever, and industries across Europe are preparing for a major leap in productivity, powered by AI and other advanced technologies. Huawei has been and will remain in Europe, for Europe."
Leo Chen, Huawei's Senior Vice President and President of Enterprise Sales, elaborated on the company's regional strategy, stating, "Huawei is in Europe, for Europe. We dive into local customer needs and turn technology into action to drive Europe's twin green and digital transition." He explained that Huawei has two focuses in the region: developing innovative products and solutions tailored to local industry scenarios, and empowering local partners to better serve European customers.
To formalize this approach, Huawei launched the SCALE framework for Europe at the event. SCALE stands for Scenario-based Solutions, Co-Innovation, Aligned Marketing, Local Service, Consistent Quality, and Efficient Collaboration. These five key initiatives are designed to help local partners innovate around customer needs, integrate Huawei solutions into their offerings more easily, and improve their service capabilities. The framework builds on Huawei's existing "Huawei + Partners" collaboration system, which aims to create a sustainable future in Europe.
Other speakers shared insights into Europe's twin transition and intelligent industry practices, including Pierre Francois Rudant, Head of Technology at Auchan Retail; Federico Ascoli, Head of Platforms at Also's Extended Group Management Board; Sergio Grassi, Country Manager of Zeliatech and Chief Revenue Officer for Value, Green and Services of Esprinet Group Italy; and Marcel Poser, Co-founder of Screening Eagle Technologies.
For businesses across Texas and beyond, Huawei's deepened investment in Europe signals the growing importance of AI-driven digital and green transitions in global markets. As European industries leap toward greater productivity powered by AI, Texas companies in technology, manufacturing, and energy may find new opportunities for partnership and innovation. The SCALE framework's emphasis on local collaboration and co-innovation mirrors strategies that Texas firms can adopt to remain competitive.
