Haltom City Council Election Engages Community with Voter Registration and Candidate Meet-and-Greets

With the Haltom City Council election set for May 4, the community is mobilizing to ensure residents are registered to vote and have the chance to meet the candidates. Two key events at the Tarrant Event Center, located at 5230 Denton Highway, are designed to facilitate voter registration and provide a forum for candidates to connect with voters. Cindy Sturgeon, a licensed voter registrar and candidate for City Council, Place 3, highlighted the critical role of voter engagement, especially within the Hispanic community, which comprises 51% of Haltom City's population.

Sturgeon, alongside Spencer Drabik, a candidate for City Council, Place 4, both local business owners, are spearheading these initiatives to kick off their campaigns. They are committed to listening to the community's needs and aspirations for Haltom City. The events, scheduled for Sunday, March 17, from 2-5 pm and Monday, March 25, from 5-8 pm, will not only offer refreshments and campaign signs but also accept donations to support the candidates' campaigns. These gatherings represent a pivotal opportunity for residents to voice their concerns and ideas directly to those seeking to represent them on the City Council.
