Blue Cap AG, a Munich-based investment company, will see a change in its management board effective October 8, 2026. Dr. Henning von Kottwitz, Chairman of the Management Board, will leave the company by mutual agreement. The Supervisory Board has expressed its gratitude for his service and noted that Blue Cap is well positioned for further development, particularly due to transactions implemented under his leadership.
To ensure continuity, the Supervisory Board has resolved to second its Chairman, Dr. Christian Diekmann, to the Management Board as a member starting October 9, 2026, pursuant to Section 105(2) of the German Stock Corporation Act. Dr. Diekmann will be responsible for strategy and finance. Henning Eschweiler will remain COO, overseeing operational portfolio management, and will also assume responsibility for M&A. Dr. Diekmann has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board since 2024 and brings extensive experience in operational restructuring and management of mid-sized corporate groups, having served as CEO of Max Automation SE and CFO of Zertus Group.
Dr. Michael Schieble, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, commented, “We are very pleased that Dr. Christian Diekmann has agreed to drive the further development of Blue Cap AG’s business model as a member of the Management Board in the near term and take it to the next level. As Chairman of the Supervisory Board, he has in-depth knowledge of Blue Cap and understands its potential as a listed investment company pursuing the successful Buy-Transform-Sell strategy.”
Dr. Diekmann added, “Blue Cap AG is ideally positioned as an investor in ‘special situations’ to grow in the current economic environment. Many companies that are fundamentally well positioned for the future are increasingly affected by disruptions in industry and structural challenges. We aim to address these challenges through our business model, strengthen Germany as an industrial location and create value for our shareholders. In my new role, I look forward to working even more closely with Blue Cap AG’s highly qualified team.”
Blue Cap AG acquires medium-sized B2B companies in special situations, supporting their development with the goal of profitable sale. Its portfolio companies are headquartered in the DACH region, generate revenues between EUR 20 million and EUR 200 million, and have stable core businesses. The company currently holds majority stakes in six portfolio companies operating in plastics engineering, production engineering, pre-press solutions, life sciences, and business services, employing around 2,000 people across Germany, Europe, North America, and Asia. Blue Cap shares trade on the Open Market (Scale, Frankfurt, and m:access, Munich; ISIN: DE000A0JM2M1; ticker symbol: B7E).
For Texas businesses and investors, this leadership change underscores the ongoing relevance of the Buy-Transform-Sell model in navigating economic disruptions. Blue Cap’s focus on strengthening industrial locations aligns with broader trends in Texas, where mid-sized companies are vital to the economy. The transition may signal opportunities for cross-border partnerships or investment, as Blue Cap seeks to create value through operational improvements and strategic acquisitions.
