Comfort's 39th Annual Christmas Celebration to Honor Hill Country First Responders

The Comfort Chamber of Commerce will host the 39th annual Christmas in Comfort celebration on November 29, 2025, transforming the historic Hill Country town into a holiday destination with thousands of twinkling lights, live entertainment, and community activities throughout the day. This year's event carries particular significance as local first responders will serve as grand marshals of the traditional Weinachten Lichter parade, recognizing their dedication and service during recent flooding emergencies in the Texas Hill Country region.

Margaret Stone, Comfort Chamber of Commerce board member and Christmas in Comfort event organizer, emphasized the community's desire to honor emergency personnel. We want to show our appreciation for these brave men and women who are the backbone of emergency services for our communities, Stone said. We invite residents throughout the Hill Country to join us at the parade to express our gratitude for the service of our first responders.

The full day of family-friendly activities begins at 10 a.m. with arts and crafts booths lining High Street and Seventh Street until 9 p.m., featuring handmade gifts and holiday decor from local artisans. Multiple food courts and drink booths will operate throughout the day, offering local cuisine and festive beverages. Live performances will entertain visitors on multiple stages from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., showcasing regional musicians and entertainers.

Children's activities include photos with Santa, a petting zoo, face painting, gingerbread decorating, and holiday crafts available throughout the day. The evening culminates with the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m., followed by the iconic Weinachten Lichter parade at 7 p.m. The celebration concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over the football field.
